DAY 3 – Tuesday 17th November 2026 HANOI TO HALONG BAY — UNESCO OVERNIGHT CRUISE (B/L/D)
Leave the city behind and travel approximately four hours to the coast, where one of the world’s great natural wonders awaits. Halong Bay — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — is a seascape of breathtaking beauty: nearly 2,000 dramatic limestone karsts rising from jade-green waters, draped in forest and mist.
Board the Bai Tho, a beautifully restored traditional wooden junk boat chartered exclusively by Two’s a Crowd, and set sail over lunch. Cruise past the Ba Hang fishing village, through clusters of extraordinary karst islands, and into the magnificent Surprise Cave — one of the most spectacular grottos in all of Halong Bay.
Continue to Titov Island for a swim, a beach rest, or a climb to the summit for sweeping panoramic views across the bay. Return to the Bai Tho just in time for sunset from the top deck, followed by a fresh seafood dinner on board as the karsts glow in the fading light around you. Pure magic.

After breakfast, board a traditionally woven bamboo boat rowed by a local boatman for a guided exploration of Luon Cave — a stunning hidden grotto accessible only by rowing through a low natural archway. After a light lunch on board, sail back to harbour and return to Hanoi.
Your own room at Golden Silk Boutique Hotel, Hanoi or similar
DAY 5 – Thursday 19th November 2026 HANOI TO HOI AN — THE ANCIENT TOWN (B/D)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your included flight south to Da Nang, then transfer to the enchanting riverside town of Hoi An — one of Southeast Asia’s most beloved destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site of extraordinary charm.
Tonight, ease into the magic of the Old Town with dinner at the iconic Hai Cafe — a perfect introduction to Hoi An’s celebrated cuisine and lantern-lit atmosphere.
Your own room at Royal Riverside Hotel Hoi An or similar
DAY 6 – Friday 20th November 2026 HOI AN — ANCIENT TOWN WALKING TOUR (B)
From the 16th to 18th centuries, Hoi An was one of Southeast Asia’s most important international trading ports — a crossroads for Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Arab merchants. Today, remarkably, many of those same buildings remain virtually unchanged. Walking through the Ancient Quarter genuinely feels like stepping back in time.
A morning guided walking tour winds through the narrow streets of the old city, visiting the ornate Chua Ong Pagoda, the historic Assembly Hall, the beautifully preserved 200-year-old Tan Ky House, and the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge — Hoi An’s most photographed landmark, and for good reason.
The balance of the day is yours at leisure — browse the famous tailor shops, explore the riverside markets, sample the incredible street food, or simply find a riverside café and watch the lanterns begin to glow as evening falls.
Your own room at Royal Riverside Hotel Hoi An or similar
DAY 7 – Saturday 21st November 2026 HOI AN — COOKING CLASS AT MS VY’S COOKING SCHOOL (B/L)
One of the tour’s most hands-on and delicious days. Begin with a visit to Hoi An’s Central Market alongside a local chef, who guides you through the extraordinary array of fresh herbs, vegetables, and regional specialties that define central Vietnamese cuisine.
Purchases in hand, hop aboard a boat and head to the celebrated Ms Vy’s Cooking School for a proper hands-on cooking class. Apron on — you’ll roll fresh rice paper spring rolls, prepare a traditional claypot dish, and master the beautiful garnish techniques that make Vietnamese food as visually stunning as it is delicious. Then sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labour over a magnificent lunch. A genuinely joyful experience.
Your own room at Royal Riverside Hotel Hoi An or similar
DAY 8 – Sunday 22nd November 2026 HOI AN — FREE DAY (B)
A rare and wonderful gift: an entirely free day in one of the world’s most charming towns. Your guide will have plenty of suggestions, but the day is completely yours.
Visit a local tailor and have something made to measure — Hoi An’s tailors are legendary for speed and quality. Explore the markets. Hire a bicycle and cycle through the rice paddies to the nearby beach. Find a rooftop bar and do absolutely nothing. However you spend it, Hoi An will not disappoint.
Your own room at Royal Riverside Hotel Hoi An or similar
DAY 9 – Monday 23rd November 2026 HOI AN TO HO CHI MINH CITY (SAIGON) — CHOLON & BEN THANH MARKET (B)
After breakfast, transfer to Da Nang Airport for your included flight south to Ho Chi Minh City — Vietnam’s dynamic, fast-paced, endlessly energetic southern capital.
Upon arrival, head to Cholon — Saigon’s vibrant Chinatown — where ornate temples with intricate friezes, carved tableaux, and great spiralling incense coils create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the city. Wander through narrow streets to the iconic Ben Thanh Market, where everything from fresh produce and street food to lacquerware, silk, and dried squid spills across hundreds of stalls.
Your own room at Paradise Saigon Boutique Hotel or similar
DAY 10 – Tuesday 24th November 2026 HO CHI MINH CITY — CU CHI TUNNELS & SAIGON STREET EATS TOUR (B/D)
One of the most powerful and thought-provoking days of the entire journey. Depart early for the Cu Chi Tunnels — the extraordinary underground network that served as a stronghold, supply route, hospital, and home for thousands of Viet Cong fighters during the Vietnam War. A short documentary sets the scene before you explore the tunnels themselves — cramped, dark, and a profound testament to human resilience and ingenuity. The craters left by American B52 bombers remain visible in the landscape above. An unforgettable and moving experience.
Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon for free time, before the evening brings a very different kind of adventure: a Saigon Street Eats Tour deep into the city’s local food scene — far from the tourist areas, into the pop-up restaurants and street stalls where locals actually eat. Pull up a plastic stool and work your way through banh mi baguettes, noodle dishes, flame-grilled barbecue skewers and perhaps even rice paper pizza, finishing with dessert from one of Saigon’s best sweet soup spots. A fun, delicious, and genuinely memorable night out.
Your own room at Paradise Saigon Boutique Hotel or similar
DAY 11 – Wednesday 25th November 2026 FULL DAY MEKONG DELTA TOUR (B/L/D)
A complete change of pace — and one of the tour’s most rewarding days. The Mekong Delta is the southernmost region of Vietnam, often called the country’s rice bowl, producing three harvests per year across its vast, fertile floodplains. The mighty Mekong River arrives here after a 4,500km journey through six countries, finally dispersing through an intricate network of canals and waterways.
Board a river boat at Cai Be Floating Market and cruise the endless waterways of the delta, visiting a Bonsai Garden, a traditional handicraft village where bricks and pottery are still made by hand, and stopping to discover how candy and puffed rice are produced the old-fashioned way. Lunch at a local riverside restaurant, then return through the delta to Ho Chi Minh City for a final group dinner celebrating the Vietnam leg of your adventure.

DAY 12 – Thursday 26th November 2026 HO CHI MINH CITY TO SIEM REAP — WELCOME TO CAMBODIA (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your included flight to Siem Reap — the gateway to one of the ancient world’s greatest civilisations. Welcome to Cambodia!
Upon arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel before setting out for a private afternoon tour of the Roluos Group of Temples — the oldest standing temples in the Angkor region, and the place where the Khmer Empire’s extraordinary architectural story began. Visit Preah Ko (the Sacred Bull Temple) and the impressive Bakong — dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva and the largest temple in the group. Tonight is yours to explore Siem Reap’s lively riverside and famous Pub Street at leisure.
Your own room at Steung Siem Reap Hotel or similar
DAY 13 – Friday 27th November 2026 SIEM REAP — FULL DAY ANGKOR TEMPLES TOUR: ANGKOR THOM, BAYON, TA PROHM & ANGKOR WAT (B/L)
The day many travellers consider the most extraordinary of their lives. The Angkor temple complex is the largest religious monument ever built — a civilisation’s worth of ambition, devotion, and artistry spread across more than 400 square kilometres of jungle.
Begin at the South Gate of Angkor Thom, flanked by the famous rows of gods and demons locked in an eternal tug of war. Continue to the Bayon — its towers adorned with hundreds of serene, smiling stone faces gazing in all directions — before exploring the pyramid-shaped Phimeanakas and its mysterious twin ponds.
Then comes Ta Prohm — perhaps the most atmospheric temple of all, where enormous tree roots have grown through and around the ancient stone walls over centuries, creating a scene of breathtaking, haunting beauty that no photograph quite captures.
Return to Siem Reap for lunch before the main event: Angkor Wat itself — the world’s largest religious monument. This three-tiered sandstone pyramid rises 65 metres from the ground, crowned by five lotus towers and surrounded by a vast moat. The national symbol of Cambodia, and one of the greatest human achievements of any era.
End the day with sunset views over the jungle canopy from Pre Rup Temple — a perfect, peaceful close to an extraordinary day.
Your own room at Steung Siem Reap Hotel or similar
DAY 14 – Saturday 28th November 2026 SIEM REAP — TONLE SAP LAKE & KOMPONG PHLUK STILTED VILLAGE (B/D)
A morning of a very different kind of wonder. Drive to the edge of the vast Tonle Sap Lake — Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake — and board a boat for a cruise to Kompong Phluk, one of the most remarkable communities in all of Cambodia.
This isolated Khmer village of around 3,000 people is built entirely on wooden stilts rising six to eight metres above the water — home, school, temple, and all. Residents farm fish and vegetables on floating platforms, moving through their village by boat as naturally as others walk down a street. Your boat winds through a beautiful flooded mangrove forest — a rare and unique ecosystem — as you keep watch for birds and the cheeky crab-eating macaques that live in the canopy above.
Return to Siem Reap for a farewell dinner together — a celebration of 14 remarkable days, two extraordinary countries, and the friendships forged along the way.
Your own room at Steung Siem Reap Hotel or similar
DAY 15 – Sunday 29th November 2026 SIEM REAP — DEPARTURE DAY (B)
After one final breakfast together, say your farewells and transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for your onward journey — carrying with you the memories of Vietnam’s emerald waterways, Halong Bay at dawn, the lanterns of Hoi An, the resilience of Cu Chi, and the ancient wonder of Angkor.
This is not goodbye. This is until next time.

Weather
November is one of the most pleasant times to visit Vietnam, with comfortable temperatures and generally favourable travel conditions across much of the country.
In Northern Vietnam, including Hanoi and Halong Bay, November marks the transition into the cooler, drier winter season. Temperatures are typically mild, ranging from around 18–26°C, with lower humidity and less rainfall than the summer months. Clear skies and comfortable conditions make it an excellent time for sightseeing and outdoor activities.
In Central Vietnam, including Hue, Da Nang and Hoi An, November falls within the region’s wet season. Temperatures remain warm, generally between 22–28°C, but travellers should be prepared for periods of rain.
In Southern Vietnam, including Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta, November signals the end of the rainy season and the beginning of the dry season. Temperatures are warm year-round, typically ranging from 25–32°C, with plenty of sunshine and only occasional showers. The lush green countryside and improving weather make this a wonderful time to explore the region.
In Siem Reap, Cambodia, November marks the start of the dry season and is considered one of the best times to visit. Temperatures typically range from 23–31°C, with lower humidity and decreasing rainfall following the monsoon season. Conditions are ideal for exploring the magnificent temples of Angkor, enjoying outdoor dining, and experiencing the vibrant local culture.
Money
Vietnam’s currency is dong issued by State Bank of Vietnam. Abbreviated form: “VND” before the amount or “d” after the amount. Small denominations include VND 200; 500; 1000; 2000; 5000 in both coin and paper notes though coin is more popular. Bigger denominations include VND 10,000; 20,000; 50,000; 100,000; 200,000; 500,000 in both polymer and normal paper notes. Generally, all major currencies can be converted into dong without any hassle but American dollar is normally much more preferred. It is wise to cash your traveler cheques into US dollar in Vietcombank or other major local banks before jumping into anywhere. You may be charged 0.5 to 2% commission for this, still much lower than in black market. Also, it is important to make sure that any note you take do not have any tear or look too worn, as it is possible to pass them to no one again. It is strongly recommended that you do not equip yourself with lots of cash, neither dollar nor dong. In Vietnam now, it is much easier for you to access your money almost everywhere and any time in Hanoi, Saigon or other major cities through an extensive ATM network. It is, therefore, important to check whether your credit card company has any ATM access in Vietnam in advance.
Electricity
In Vietnam the standard voltage is 220 V. The standard frequency is 50 Hz. The power sockets that are used are of type A (Japan) / C (Europe) and G (UK)
Visas
Visas on arrival are available at both Vietnam and Cambodia international airports. Two’s a Crowd can provide more information on the process and required documentation and costs.
