No sharing with a stranger — ever. No compromise. Just Scandinavia, at its most extraordinary.

Weather & Daylight
Let it snow. Welcome to the winter wonderland. The climate varies greatly from region to region in this long country. Along the coast, temperatures usually stay around zero degrees Celsius. Inland, the temperatures are mostly lower and might sink down to 10-20 degrees below zero Celsius.
Winter nights are long throughout Norway. From the middle of November until the end of January, the sun doesn’t rise at all, or just briefly peaks out over the horizon, in most parts of Northern Norway. However it is far from pitch dark all the time, and the snow lightens the landscape in a very poetic way. On clear days, especially in the southern part of this region, you might experience several hours of daylight and some beautiful sunset colours, while the sky to the north is a deep midnight blue.
If you’re lucky, the northern lights might dance above your head! They are most commonly seen in the north, but can on rare occasions be spotted throughout Norway. October to March are the best months to try to catch this magical light show. In southern Norway, you can expect between six and eight hours of daylight during the winter months.
Currency
Scandinavia accepts all credit cards at most major stores, hotels, and restaurants. Make sure to have your credit card’s PIN code and a picture ID when using your credit card for purchases in stores, etc. Exchange Rates. The monetary unit in Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Iceland is one krone (equals 100 ore). In Finland, it is one euro (equals 100 euro cents). The currencies of the five countries are not interchangeable.
Electricity
All countries use 220/230 volts AC current, with the wall outlets using various volt types. Check your camera and/or laptop computer chargers – your may be able to use it with an adapter for the electrical outlet.
Visas
Generally not required for stays of up to 90 days; some nationalities will need a Schengen visa.
