Unleash Your Inner Adventurer: Why Trailblazer Tours Are Perfect for Active Solos

For solo travellers who crave more than just sightseeing—who want to hike through dramatic landscapes, explore remote wilderness, and stay active along the way—Trailblazer tours are the perfect fit. Designed exclusively for active solo travellers, these tours take you beyond the usual tourist spots and into the heart of adventure.

Whether it’s trekking through the rainforests of Borneo, conquering the Inca Trail in Peru, or hiking the rugged landscapes of New Zealand, Trailblazer is about staying active, embracing the wild, and immersing yourself in new cultures—all with a group of like-minded explorers.

What Makes Trailblazer Different?

While Two’s a Crowd’s Classic tours focus on relaxed sightseeing and cultural immersion, Trailblazer tours are for those who like to keep moving, explore on foot, and experience nature up close.

Expect:

Small groups of 10-15 solo travellers, ensuring an intimate and connected experience.
Destinations that take you off the beaten path—think the jungles of Borneo, the Andes Mountains, or the deserts of Morocco.
A dedicated Two’s a Crowd tour host to take care of logistics, so you can focus on adventure.
Your own room, always—because after an active day, you deserve privacy and comfort.

Why Trailblazer Tours Are Perfect for Active Solo Travellers

1. Travel at Your Pace

Trailblazer isn’t about sitting on a coach all day—it’s about getting out there and experiencing the world on foot, by kayak, or even on a bike. These tours are active but balanced, designed for solo travellers who love to walk, hike, and explore rather than just observe from a distance.

2. Challenge Yourself, But Stay Supported

Maybe you’ve always wanted to hike the Inca Trail but weren’t sure about doing it solo. Or perhaps you love the idea of trekking through the rainforests of Borneo but don’t want to worry about logistics. That’s where Trailblazer comes in—you get the challenge and excitement without the stress of planning everything yourself.

3. Bond Over Adventure

Nothing brings people together like shared experiences, and on a Trailblazer tour, you’ll be hiking, kayaking, and exploring alongside like-minded solo travellers. Whether it’s the thrill of spotting wildlife in Borneo or the sense of accomplishment after a tough hike in New Zealand, these adventures create bonds that last long after the tour ends.

4. The Perfect Balance of Adventure and Comfort

Yes, these tours are active, but that doesn’t mean roughing it! You’ll stay in hand-picked accommodations, from jungle lodges to boutique hotels—and always in your own room.

5. Explore the World’s Best Adventure Destinations—Stress-Free

No need to worry about transport, accommodations, or navigating tricky trails alone. A Two’s a Crowd tour host ensures everything runs smoothly, leaving you free to fully embrace the adventure.

Fantastic first solo trip

I had a fantastic trip. Absolutely loved Canada and Alaska. It's the first time I have travelled solo and was pleasantly surprised to find a bunch of people that all got on so well. Diane our host was great. She did a good job of getting us altogether for meals, excursions, shopping trips etc. I liked that she quietly got things done without being loud or "in-your-face". She was good at being one of us as well as our leader. Wendy, Canada/Alaska

Great holiday

What a great trip! I experienced so much and participated in all that was offered. I had read and reviewed as much as time allowed me but was not prepared for what the trip gave me and that is a better understanding of the beautiful people of both countries. - Lesley on Vietnam/Cambodia

I thought the suggestions for optional things to do, in the "free" time were very good. So good, we really ended up with very little free time. So much to do! - Mary on Vietnam
